Create a fund to provide medical, disability and family support for individuals innocently injured by firearms. Support the program with an excise tax levied on the manufacture, sale or trade of firearms, ammunition and firearm accessories.
Why is this important?
Watching the damage inflicted on people by guns and ammunition in Aurora, CO and hearing of the economic consequences to the injured individuals, I wondered what approach would result in those who profit from guns and ammunition being held economically responsible for the results of their trade.
