I believe Congress should focus its efforts on making our society more safe from gun abuse. There should be a ban on automatic weapons. Automatic weapons were invented well after the Constitution and Bill of Rights were written. There should be greater safeguards for acquiring guns and all guns should be registered and reregistered after a time period. Gun shows should be under stricter guidelines. Start writing some legislation NOW, please!
Why is this important?
There was a gunman on the loose near my granddaughters nursery school outside Sacramento last October. My daughter and her husband went through hell waiting for the gunman to be caught.
