"Guns Don't Kill People..." You know the rest.

When the tragedy at Virginia Tech happened, same virtual circumstances, where was the gun ban? When the Holocaust went down, where were the bans on HALF the stuff they used? You even see Anakin Skywalker SLAUGHTER "younglings" in Star Wars Episode III but no one ONCE blamed the Light Saber. My case in point, Guns DON'T kill anything unless someone is there to pull the trigger.
Gun-control advocates, before the bodies of these young victims are even buried, just shamelessly jumped at a chance to exploit a tragedy. Where were they during other tragic shootings; were the bodies of people older that 10 just not good enough? Or is it that they did attempt to exploit those but they weren't as compelling as 2nd graders. The everyday American needs guns and the ability to access ammo to load said guns. To name a few:

- It's 2am and you're awake all night worrying about that violent stalker that the police can't seem to keep on lock down because her friends and family keep bailing her out as they don't see what she's doing to you and think of you as the bad guy. She's outside right now like the Unwanted House Guest calling up to you after the police came twice and found nothing and left.

- Someone has been circling your house noting all the security system blindspots and has almost tricked the police once trying to get in. You see them right now inside your house, what are you going to do, call the police and pray they get there in time before you're dead?

- You're a single mother living in a bad neighbor hood and have worked honestly your whole just to make enough to move some place safer so your children can sleep in their own bedroom without the threat of someone climbing in their window and snatching them up. One has already tried before but thank god he was too stone to fight off your brother in the other room. What happens when someone else comes and your brother isn't there? (See the story on Antonie Dodson)

Guns do more than just kill, they protect. It all depends on the person holding the firearm. So what will happen to the family that needs that protection but their paycheck can't afford a single round when they could only a short while ago? You can say "they should call police" all you want but I've heard too many personal stories to include my own to be THAT naive. The police are bound by a system, something any assailant can bypass and, if they're smart enough, manipulate. The second amendment says all citizens have the right to bear arms. No one has the right or pedigree to fault anyone for choosing to exercise that right.

Secondly, people die everyday, too many of them killed without provocation, yes it is tragic to see these children go in such a horrible way at such a young age but that's life. That said, what are you doing by publicizing them for months and using their deaths for political opportunity. I'm sure their families just LOVE to constantly relive the bleak day someone killed their 8 year old child just so political opportunists could have their way "at last". Quit making them go through that!

Third, what will bans solve? Once the bans go up, so does the gain in piracy and black markets. There's a ban on Too many drugs and too many people STILL have them because back alley organizations, underground bazaars, and your common street gang are selling it. You give them the chance to make more profit to move closer to ruling the world if they so choose to and impose on those who are following the rules of the ban. The ban of guns won't make the street safer, it will empower those threatening the safety of the average sidewalk to take more control. ARE YOU THAT NAIVE?!

Take steps to protect your communities, arm each public school with a trained officer, but DO NOT ban guns or place imbecilic restrictions on them because you can't tell the difference between a tool and a trigger-happy finger. IF you are with me, please sign this petition and share it with your family, friends, and community. We have a voice too and I believe that in this country, it has just as much right to be heard as our gun-control advocates.

I apologize if I offended anyone with this petition. If you find fault with my decision to create it, you are welcomed to comment. I will not stifle your Freedom of Speech, however, you do this at your own risk as it will show up on your FaceBook page and people will comment on it. I cannot protect you against those who may disagree with your comments or find them insulting. You may comment freely at your own risk.

If anyone has any further information about the impending gun laws, do not hesitate to comment. Thank you.

Why is this important?

There's been too much debate about the impending gun laws and WAY too much support for the banning or placement of RIDICULOUS restrictions. Yes the loss of so many elementary children was indeed a tragedy but so were many other incidents at schools and no one blamed the weapons until now.
