Hair Salons / ONE CLIENT AT A TIME (Soft Opening May 18th)

Allow licensed beauty professionals to soft open on May 18th to perform beauty services, privately with one client in the salon/per stylist at a time. Stylist working at stations that are six feet apart or in private rooms. Salons will be using necessary precautions and sanitation protocols approved by the State of Rhode Island and their local Board of Health will be followed.

Why is this important?

Our industry needs to reopen and be recognized as an essential business so we can better serve our community. Serving one client at a time while wearing a mask (stylist also wearing a mask and gloves ) poses little or no risk of spreading the virus, as compared to 20 or more people allowed in a grocery store or other big box stores with little or no health protocols in place. The survival of the independent beauty professionals is at risk ! We are facing grave financial hardship !
