Handicapped Accessible Medical Examinations
Start accessible medical examinations now. Currently many medical facilities do not have examination tables that a person who is wheelchair bound can access. Most medical facilities do not have a scale to weigh a person who is not able to stand or walk. Sign this petition directed to the US Department of Health and Human services asking them to require health facilities to make medical examinations accessible to all, by requiring at least one examination table that a person in a wheel chair can access independently or with minimal assistance, and requiring that health facilities have a scale that can be used by people who can not stand or walk.
Why is this important?
Requiring all medical facilities to have at least one examination bed that a person in a wheelchair can access by transferring independently or with minimal assistance from their wheel chair to the examination table.
Requiring that all medical facilities have a scale that can be used by people who are not able to stand or walk.
