HB 363 Utah Sex Education Bill

Gov Gary Herbert Veto HB 363! Utah Students should be taught not only in the home but taught in our schools. Students should be made aware of STD, birth control methods and discussion about homosexuality should not be limited. Abstinence should always be encouraged, but reality should also be taught and discussed. Not all parents are properly educated on this topic which in time will show future generations of ignorance when it comes to sex education. Parents deserve correct alternative resources when it comes to teaching their children. Utah schools can provide this to both students and parents. By Signing HB 363 Utahans can count on seeing a rise in unwanted pregnancies and STD’s which a negative cost to the Utah tax payer is.
As a citizen of the state of Utah I would encourage you to Veto HB 363.

Why is this important?

If Gov Gary Herbert signs HB 363 into law Utah schools will not be able to teach or discuss the following issues.

Human sexuality instruction or instructional programs may not include instruction in, or the advocacy of: the intricacies of intercourse, sexual stimulation, or erotic behavior; homosexuality; the use of contraceptive methods or devices; or sexual activity outside of marriage.
