Health care should be accessible to everyone.
1-Every US citizen and lawful resident has the right to basic health care. For covering these expenses, a basic health care tax (~2%) must be implemented. Along with the established insuring system, the government must provide healthcare to every member of society who wants to accept it, be that a jobless person or a billionaire. All physicians must take care of patients as Hippocrates did.
2-Health care is not a business and must be regulated by the government as a socially vital professional sphere, similar to safety (police) and protection (fire fighting).
3-No health care professional, including insurance executives, can earn more than The President.
4-No physician or insurance company has right to bankrupt a patient.
5-Hospitals and physicians must have no rights to bill insured and non-insured or involved or non-involved in groups patients differently.
6-The prices of all medical examinations, treatments and per minute physicians’ charges must be posted in the front entrances of all hospitals and physicians’ offices. The minute charge of a physician should not exceed The President’s minute salary.
Why is this important?
The problems in health care are rooted not only in the real cost of the service itself, but in the doctor's culture of charging astronomical sums for simple regular visits and exaggerated, threatening misdiagnosing. Health care expenses are out of control of the society, Congress and common sense. In order to halt the rising cost of health care, a principal reform of the sphere must be carried out. The essence of the approach should be the revision of the objectives of the health care itself and principles of its operation and pay. We need to bring the doctors pay to market principles. They operate as business enterprises, but charge as worse monopolists. Current $8000 spending in a year/per person, is unthinkable luxury for any state and society.
