Help End Dead Beat Parents!
The rights of the non-custodial parent should not supercede those of the custodial parent. In the State of Maryland, the non-custodial parent is given too many opportunities to meet requirements of the court before being declared non-compliant. In the meantime the custodial parent struggles to "cover" the absent parent's financial duties (i.e. foreclosure, failure to pay rent actions, loans with high interest).
Why is this important?
I am a single mother and sole provider for my son and the state has failed in its duties to assist me in enforcing a court ordered child support (the collection of monies from his biological father). The State should be more aggressive and proactive in pursuing these matters on behalf of the custodial parents.
