We The People petition our legislatures to make mental illness prevention, diagnosis and counseling more accessible and part of "preventive medicine", especially for Depression (which is not generally considered a serious condition by medical insurance companies) for all whom may otherwise have no access to help. Please help prevent such tragedies as the horrific Sandy Hook Elementary School Shooting.
Why is this important?
The Sandy Hook Elementary School Shooting is just the latest horror of unmitigated violence against innocent children and adults. If you are for gun control or against, is no longer the issue. The issue is that the state of mental illness care in the United States is deplorable. Please sign this petion to urge The White House and Congress to legislate more preventive and diagnostic measures to help people with mental illness, whom otherwise may take actions into their own hands, as happend today in Connecticut.
