To: Government of PR, President Donald Trump, The United States House of Representatives, and The United States Senate

Help the citizens of PR to reduce the homicide rates ignored by our own government.

While politicians in PR are worry about who won the elections, which friends will get the high paying jobs, if PR should be a state, or perhaps who is going to be invited to the PR Night in Congress tonight, Puerto Ricans (which are US Citizens) are living in time of despair due to the criminality in the island. Thousands were killed last year in violent crimes, for a homicide rate of 26.2 per 100,000 people. Among those many innocents that contribute positively to our society. As a Puerto Rican living in VA, I beg you listen to our concerns, and help the people of Puerto Rican address this issue, which clearly out of the control of the Puerto Rican government.

Why is this important?

Puerto Rico reported a record-breaking 1,136 murders in 2011, in a territory that is home to less than four million people. The island boasts more than double the number of police officers per resident, compared to the 50 U.S. states, and it still suffers a homicide rate of 26.2 per 100,000 people.
