Help the Dogs in Bristol, TN - Amend Dog Ordinances

Dog Ordinances in Bristol, TN need to be amended to address reasonable, humane requirements:
1) Require chained dogs to be released from the chain at least daily for exercise and socialization (no chaining up dogs and just leaving them there),
2) Require reasonable, minimum standards on enclosure size when a dog or dogs are in an outdoor kennel (no boxes, crates or tiny enclosures), and
3) Require minimum standards during extreme weather conditions.

Why is this important?

Bristol, Tennessee City Council amended dog ordinances in November, 2014. While these ordinances improved conditions for dogs in our city, they did not address some significant issues. To prevent dog abuse and neglect, our dog ordinances need to be comprehensive and address all reasonable issues for the health and safety of our pets and our community.
