Re: Docket No. EPA-HQ-OA-2018-0259
I strongly oppose the proposed rule to exclude certain studies from the EPA’s rulemaking process.
The science is clear -- pollution and climate disruption threaten public health. But this rule would force the EPA to disregard crucial medical and public health research by setting disclosure standards that would often be unmeetable, scientifically irrelevant or illegal.
This is nothing more than a tactic out of the tobacco industry’s playbook -- a tactic designed to protect polluters’ profits.
The EPA’s job is to protect the environment and public health, not support polluting industries. The proposed rule should be rejected.

Why is this important?
Scott Pruitt’s EPA is trying to censor science. He wants to exclude important studies from decisions affecting our air, water, and health. Specifically, he would make it easier for the Trump administration to weaken clean air safeguards by excluding critical research about pollution’s impact on our health.
This is the same tactic the tobacco industry used to "prove" cigarettes aren’t harmful to our health. We can’t let Pruitt’s EPA get away with it!
Add your name: Tell the EPA to side with science, not Trump and Scott Pruitt!
