Hold CNN accountable for publishing false information linking vaccines to autism
CNN has published an iReport that falsely claims that the CDC knew that the MMR vaccine raises autism rates by 340%. CNN should be held accountable for publishing factually incorrect and harmful material.
Why is this important?
CNN has recently published an "iReport" (http://ireport.cnn.com/docs/DOC-1164794) claiming that a whistleblower at the CDC has proof that the CDC knew that the MMR vaccine raises autism rates by 340%, and that the CDC has covered this up. This story has been verified as false by multiple sources. By publishing this as an iReport, CNN is spreading false information that is harmful to our children, elderly, and immuno-compromised citizens, as well as to our community as a whole, because it spreads the fear-mongering that vaccines are dangerous despite hundreds of studies that prove that they are not. We are calling on citizens who are concerned about public safety and scientific integrity to boycott CNN, HLN and CNN.com until CNN removes the article, issues a retraction, and changes their policy regarding the truth in iReports.
