Hold Coats and Rogers in Contempt
On June 7, 2017, Director Coats of the DNI and Admiral Rogers of the NSA refused to answer the Senate Intelligence Committee questions about conversations with President Trump or with each other about stopping or interfering with the Russia Investigation. Neither Coats nor Rogers had any legal basis to refuse to answer the Committee's questions. Both Coats and Rogers should be held in contempt by the Senate Intelligence Committee.
Why is this important?
Coats and Rogers have an obligation to taxpayers and the public to answer the Senate Intelligence Committee questions that call for non-classified, non-privileged answers, period, regardless of whether the answers involve conversations with the President.
