John Geer was unarmed when he was shot and killed in August 2013 by Fairfax County, VA police. Police have refused for over a year to provide an "explanation for the shooting, or why Geer was left unattended for an hour afterward and apparently bled to death" (Washington Post, Oct. 15, 2014).
