Hold Rep. Fitzpatrick Accountable

As your constituent, I am asking you to focus on creating jobs. I urge you to rethink your destructive votes to slash Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid, your refusal ask millionaires and billionaires to pay their fair share and your decision to waste months on the debt ceiling debate while 25 million Americans are still unemployed or underemployed.

I am outraged that you would rather play political games than put America back to work. Working Americans should not be asked to give up jobs, their retirement security and their health care while the rich and well-connected get tax cuts. To put our nation on a path to real economic recovery, Congress needs to invest in in putting Americans back to work.

Why is this important?

Rep. Michael Fitzpatrick ran for office on a jobs platform. But since getting elected, he has done nothing to address our jobs crisis. Instead, he voted to slash Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. And then, he wasted months on the manufactured debt ceiling crisis—forcing cuts that will kill jobs.

Rep. Fitzpatrick needs to be held accountable for his actions. So we’ve created an accountability petition we’re delivering by hand on Aug. 18. Will you add your name?

Reasons for signing

  • Saw Mr Fitzpatrick included on the Take down the Tea Party 10 web site.....Kinda reads like the political equivalent of the FBI's top 10 most wanted list...
  • Its about JOBS STUPID!
  • I for one am underemployed and my employer takes unfair advantage of me. I will be 64 yrs this month and very much need to work. I've worked as a home health aide for 4yrs, and in this amount of time have been given a whoping increase on .65 in this time. This does not even cover the cost of living increase. I can not afford to retire, because I will not be eligible for Medicare until I'm 65, and even then I won't make enough soc. sec. to retire. By the way, my mother's maiden name is Fitzpat...
