Hold Rep. Mo Brooks accountable
Rep. Mo Brooks of the 5th Legislative District of North Alabama voted NO last week to help Hurricane Sandy victims AND no on the Federal Flood Insurance program saying that others shouldn't have to pay for helping out another portion of the U.S. He also said: “If you’re going to be a responsible American citizen, then you pay for your own homeowners insurance or business insurance. You do not try to shift that cost of your lifestyle on the rest of America.” Of course, if anyone pays FLOOD insurance, you know that you have to pay the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT the rate they charge and not your own insurance company. Even though Mo Brook's district has been hit hard by natural disasters in the past (April 2011) & received millions of dollars in Federal Aid, he think as long as it is not his district then no one should help another American while he/she is down due to no fault of their own.
Why is this important?
Even though his own district has been on the receiving end of millions of dollars in Federal Aid, he voted NO to help out our fellow citizens!
