Hold the banking executives criminally liable

We are all affected by the criminal activities of the banking industry. People are defrauded and they lose their retirement, their homes, and their hope for the future and faith in the entire system. The prisons are overflowing with young people, mostly of color, for minor possession drug crimes, yet when bankers allow the laundering of maybe billions of dollars of drug profits it is said that we cannot prosecute them for fear that we will somehow hurt the fragile financial system. We in fact have lost the will to prosecute any banking executive for any crime. After the financial crisis of "08" the federal government steped in to bail out the banks at a great cost to our economy that has seeped down to every level of government and society. This has affected every one of us. Now we will sacrifice our seniors health and well being because it is said that we cannot afford the costs. We have to put an end to this crony legal system because if we do not the crimes will only get worst. In the "1980's" People went to prison for the "Savings and Loan fraud". That was childs play compared to the crimes that we have seen over the last few years. We need to return to that system where criminals are held accountable and put in prisons to serve hard time. This is the only signal that the executives in charge of these banks will understand.

Why is this important?

We are all affected by the criminal activities of the banking industry. People are defrauded and they lose their retirement, their homes, and their hope for the future and faith in the entire system. When bankers act criminally they must be prosecuted for fraud, drug laundering and any other crime.
