Home Depot should not treat their plants with neonics
Home Depot is treating many of the plants they sell with neonicotinoid pesticides that are suspected of contributing to the decline in bees. We would like to urge Home Depot to suspend this practice until the EPA has had a chance to conduct tests and make a determination. We also urge consumers to look for the small stakes in each plant that identify plants as grown with these chemicals and avoid buying them.
Why is this important?
Bee colony collapse is a danger to our food supply.
Lowe's recently stopped selling plants treated with neonicotinoids. It's time for Home Depot to follow suit.
