We are the third largest market in the country. We need to tell any insurance company offering products in Florida and withholding products, like home owner's insurance, that they offer in other states, that they must cease doing business in the state.
Why is this important?
Currently there are 22 small insurance companies who are exposed to major risk if we experience a major hurricane. These companies don't offer other lines of highly profitable insurance like automobile insurance, or life insurance to offset their risk. Instead, the very companies who deserted us on homeowners insurance, like Nationwite, and Travelers, are in the state getting fat while they hurt us!
