Stop linking school taxes to home ownership. Add a line item to New York state tax ---- pay school based on what you earn, also tax state retires pensions.
Why is this important?
I have LOST one home already to school taxes being raised by SEVENTY FIVE PERCENT IN ONE YEAR. Now it may happen again.
I don't have a pension plan like a state retiree --- why shout I pay state tax on my pension plan. You want more money pull back some of your state benefits.
