Honest education

It is an embarrassment to California and to the education system as a whole, to charge parents and tax payers more each and every year. While cutting the budget funding for education and cutting programs that reduce the quality of education. The current climate in High schools across the board in California is one stop short of baby sitting. The testing requirements have gone through the roof while the actual quality education has gone down. Teaching is one of the few positions that pays weather or not the job is done. It is past due for an entire education over haul. From elementary to post secondary education. As more and more public schools are closing and more and more private schools are becoming competitive poorer social economic groups are being pushed out of the opportunity for quality education. Let's ask congress and local constituents to consider allowing concerned parents and top educators to rewrite the education model and allow parents to have a total say in how their tax dollars are spent and how their child is educated. Especially when it comes to full education, most parents aren't even aware of their rights going forward or of the possibilities and creation of the curriculum they want their child to learn. As we see how technology and innovation have changed the landscape of communication and career options, let we the people choose what the next chapter in eduction will look like so that we can create more business savvy humanitarian educated socially prepared Stuarts for the 20th century. Let's make this a community agenda that also addresses the entire state not just the district.

Why is this important?

Our children are more then numbers to fill seats in warehouses called school. We must require higher standards for educators, abolish no child left behind act and begin true education. Our children are not corporate slaves and tools for share holders. Let's create innovators, chemists, forerunners, by making sure that a whole education is not just good words imposed on student bodies. Educators are only the middle men the messengers if you will. While it is the publishers, collective tax dollars and community pooling that have a actual effect and say on what can and can't be taught. Tell congress to actually be for the people and let us decide in conjunction with non profits and corporations what our child's education should be, not the other way around.
