House Republicans, Stop Obstructing and Start Working
Mitt Romney and the Republicans should learn at least one thing from their 2012 election losses: honesty matters to the American people. With this in mind, Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives need to stop obstructionist tactics and start putting in an honest day's work. Congress, forward the agenda of the President, as mandated by the voting public.
Why is this important?
The nation watched while House Republicans tried for the last four years to make President Obama fail, and in the process became known as the Party of No. This election cycle, due to Republican pledges and promises, they have also come to be seen as a party that favors the rich. Furthermore, the Republican's choice of Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney, a man whose honesty reasonable people do well to question, was rejected by the American people. Obama's clear win demonstrates that the majority of Americans want him to succeed in fulfilling the promises he made. He has a clear mandate from the people to make sure the wealthy pay a greater share and that taxes are not raised on the middle and lower classes, in addition to other mandates, such as the enactment of health care reform.
