Hoosier Democrats, "Take Back The Indiana Statehouse".
Democrats and Progressives, For far too long, We have given our Republicans "Carte Blanche" in Every area of Hoosier Government. This wasn't such a bad thing when we had a personable and business oriented Governor like Mitch Daniels, who did a fine Job for everyone, until the closing days of his second term, when he folded, and relented to the far right in changing his stand of Right-to-Work Laws. Now, we are stuck with the anti- working Family RTW Law, and we are burdened by "Messianic" Mike Pence, a man so out of touch with reality, that he declared SCOTUS's affirmation of The Affordable Care Act as "as tragic as 9-11". In recent weeks, Our Republican dominated House has passed legislation that will force all recipients of TANF programs to submit to Drug Tests, will cost Taxpayers Millions of dollars to establish a system for these administering tests, and makes No Provisions for the Children of Parents who fail a Welfare-ending Drug Test. Another scarcely Constitutional Law just passed requires Women seeking and Abortion to undergo Two invasive Vaginal Probes before receiving a Legal Abortion, and puts unbearable financial burdens on All Planned Parenthood facilities, requirements that already have forced the closing of the Tippecanoe County Planned Parenthood Office, a facility that doesn't even provide Surgical Abortions. Democrats have "Played Dead" in this State since the Presidential Elections of 2008, and have let Our State become an example of what can happen when We allow a small and radical faction like the Tealiban Republicans to Rule, unchecked and unopposed by Sane and Progressive Democrats and Moderate Republicans.
Why is this important?
In recent weeks, the Indiana Legislature has passed Laws that require Welfare Recipients to pass Drug Tests in order to receive Benefits. This law will cost Millions to implement, makes No provision for the Children who will go hungry if a Parent fails said tests, and seeks only to target the least fortunate among us. If that isn't Outrageous enough for You, they also passed another Law that would require Women seeking an Abortion to undergo Not One, but Two invasive Vaginal Probes before getting a procedure that has been their right since 1973. This same Law puts requirements and restrictions on Planned Parenthood, that will force even their Facilities which don't offer Abortions, to have a State-of-the-Art" Surgical Facility in order to even dispense the Abortion inducing Drugs that so safely end a pregnancy in its first weeks.
