We, the undersigned, call for the Tompkins County Legislature to enact a Local Comprehensive Anti-Discrimination Law, increasing the protections of our Human Rights afforded to County residents.
Why is this important?
With a Local Law in place, people affected by discrimination would not have to go through the ineffective State Human Rights Dept. process to resolve their issues but would be able to resolve them with the assistance of the local Office of Human Rights.
