I Pledge to Vote Against Amendment One

North Carolina Amendment One, which will be voted upon on May 8, 2012, would enshrine discrimination into our state constitution. If passed, it would harm children and families across our state. I pledge to vote against Amendment One on May 8 and I commit to hold conversations with my loved ones about the harms that the amendment would represent.

Why is this important?

North Carolina Amendment One is up for a vote on May 8. If passed, the constitutional amendment will harm women, children and families. It will also harm our ability to recruit businesses. Polling shows that North Carolina opposes Amendment One when they understand what it actually does and we must educate all of North Carolina on the harms of Amendment One.
