I support Livable Hood River’s proposal of short-term rentals offered by full-time residents in residential zones, modeled after Portland's plan, as well as short-term rentals in commercial zones, with a grandfathering period for non-resident short term rental owners who are currently registered with the city.
Why is this important?
We need to advocate for proper regulation and management of vacation rentals. We need to let our city leaders know that we want to keep Hood River real — a place for residents, not just real-estate investments. Read the full plan here:
