IBEW members against I/O tactics

As paying members in good standing we want the right to vote in our I/O president by local vote prior to the annual BA'S meeting.
As paying IBEW members in good standing we want a voice in actions by the I/O against IBEW locals, Reps, and or members.
As paying IBEW members in good standing we want the right to write in contract how many CE's/CW'S can be radioed to JW'S on a job location by our locals' contract agreement with our contractors.
As IBEW members in good standing we want no I/O amendment inforced without that locals vote in agreement.

Why is this important?

IBEW constitution article II SEC 3 statesUpon petiton filed with the I.S.T. by any twenty eight 9280 L.U.'s in good standing-not more than four(4) L.U. from any one L.E.C. district-the question of holding a special I.C. shall be submitted to a referendum; but petitionsfor a vote must specify the place, time, and date at which this special is proposed to be held, and the question must be specified by each of the twentyeight (28) L.U.'s
in good standing before any referendum shall be taken. No specialI.C. shall be called except in this manner

IBEW Members are feeling that the I/O has been losing its focus on its members and we need better representation for the members.
