If You Think You're Covered By Your Homeowner's Insurance Policy - Think Again

Change laws regulating homeowner's insurance because insurance companies are able to do whatever they want since current laws protect insurance companies at the expense of consumer rights. Visit http://www.thebitterbusinessbureau.com for more information.

Why is this important?

I had a legitimate homeowner's insurance claim denied. The Insurance Commissioner's office in Georgia is useless. All they do is make sure the legal requirements are met. Even if the denial is based on nonsense, they have no building inspector who can look at the claim and make any determination.

No lawyer would take the case because the homeowner can't collect anything except the cost of the repairs. That means the homeowner has to pay the attorney out of what is won, and what's left isn't enough to make the repairs. The insurance companies know this, so it is in their best interest to deny claims. They lose nothing and stand to make interest on the money for as long as they keep it.
