Due to the Supreme Court’s decision in Citizens United and recently McCutcheon, we will continue to see a flood of big money in our elections, drowning out the voice of average Americans in the political process.
While it will take some time to reverse the Court’s decisions, we can pass a law now to preserve the integrity of our democracy. Tell Senator Mark Kirk to support the Fair Elections Now Act.

Why is this important?
The Fair Elections Now Act will encourage more ordinary Americans to make small contributions to candidates by reimbursing them through a refundable tax credit and encourage candidates to seek out funds from a broad swath of their constituents by matching small donations with public funds.
Fair Elections wouldn’t add a dime to the deficit. It would be financed by a fee on annual federal contracts over $10 million.
