Senator Rubio: Get Serious About Immigration Reform
We, the undersigned strongly disagree with Senator Rubio’s decision to team up with Senator Cornyn to dramatically increase the border security metrics so high that it is very likely that true immigration reform will never be met, which would mean more families torn apart. Senator Cornyn created his RESULTS amendment as part of his own self-fulfilling prophecy, to ensure he stays in office, not to further the human rights of undocumented Aspiring Americans. Aside from ensuring taxpayers are left with a $6 billion increase above the $18 billion currently being spent to implement this bill, Cornyn will still vote against it as he always has.
Senator Rubio, we ask you to treat all immigrants with respect, especially since as soon as Cubans set foot on land, they are eligible for a green card. Every year 16,000 Cubans, your family’s country of origin, arrive here illegally and are immediately granted access to green cards. This is without considering whether or not they can support themselves. . We want all immigrants coming here for economic or political reasons, as your family did, to be treated with dignity and respect, and be given a humane, comprehensive path to citizenship. To be serious about immigration reform, you should distance yourself from Cornyn, otherwise, you will be just another politician that puts his political career above the human rights of immigrant families.

Why is this important?
Senator Rubio is trying to make major changes to the bill. It is looking like he is trying to score political points without actually passing a bill.
