Immigration reform will save America
I have personally worked side by side with dozens of undocumented immigrants. I was educated about their struggle while in college but nothing prepared me for meeting people whose lives will be bettered when they are provided a path to citizenship. They are fathers and mothers, sisters and brothers, daughters and sons. I have yet to meet a single undocumented immigrant that works fewer than 40 hours a week. Their dedication to their jobs, families and this country that continually rejects them is unparalleled. So tell me, why don't you want more tax-payers? Why don't you want to accept people who contribute positively to their communities and to the nation? We are stronger with them, we are made better when we include others and promote tolerance and acceptance. THIS IS NOT ABOUT CHARITY. It's not even about following the right and moral path. Make this country stronger: vote for immigration reform and reap the benefits.
Why is this important?
Our legislators need to understand how much this nation will benefit from providing a path to citizenship for the millions of hard-working community members and their families.
