When taking office Congressmen & Senators make a pledge to the Constitution of the United States but there are many who have taken an overriding pledge to Grover Norquist pledging not to raise taxes.
Why is this important?
In order for Congress to create Legislation to help reduce our deficits, they must work together not have a non-congressman in control of their being able to negotiate - Grover Norquist is not an elected official.
