Importance of Student Tickets at Oregon State University
By signing this petition and showing support, we hope to continue to give Oregon State students the best seats in the house at events and keep athletic events affordable for all.
Why is this important?
The student fee process this year has been different from prior years, and the athletics ticket fee now falls under ASOSU. Students pay a student fee, and that is how one can claim a student ticket to various Oregon State Athletic events. Recently, a campus committee has evaluated past usage of student tickets per sport, and provided recommendations on some increases and decreases of student ticket allotments per sport.
Yet, discussions regarding further reductions to the number of tickets made available to students have taken place recently. Once student tickets are decreased, it is difficult to get them back. It is important to us to keep student tickets accessible and available to students across all athletic events. Our big moments are not big moments without students.
