In-Home Health Care

Those who do the difficult job of in-home health care deserve more than minimum wage, no breaks, no mileage; they are expected to walk into a strange home, assess the situation, cook, clean, do laundry, shop, pick up meds (that may not reach the patient because the street value is so high), take patient to local doctors. This is a crisis situation and if you have a loved one, disabled or elderly please ensure they get the care they need.

Why is this important?

My daughter is disabled (so am I). She needs In-Home health care (a "growth industry" of mostly poor, mostly undereducated, mostly women) who are labeled "adult baby sitters". Training has been cut or is non-existent, few states require training or certification, workers don't even have to pass a health test to prepare meals for your loved one. Urge training, health certification, and bonding, for your loved one's safety and for the protection of the workers.
