In Opposition to H.124

We, a concerned group of Vermont residents, do hereby request that you oppose House Bill H-124 and/or withdraw support from it for (at least) the following reasons:

-It represents new barriers to carrying a firearm lawfully
-It imposes arbitrary restrictions on magazine size
-It results in more incentives for Vermonters to “Open Carry”
-It creates a new threat that training records could be made publicly available
-Its restrictions could leave police officers hesitant to seek a mental health diagnosis

We believe that there are many other, more serious problems that face Vermont which deserve more attention from our elected officials than placing new restrictions on law-abiding Vermonters.
