Congress should pass a bill limiting Annual Congressional Salaries to a value that equals the average income of American Citizens for the preceding year.
Why is this important?
The US Congress is employed by the citizens of America to represent their legislative interests. Perhaps they might better serve the people; if their salaries reflected the average income of the citizens they represent. When they do a better job; average income would increase; and, they would be rewarded. When they did not do so well; they would not be paid so well. Also, this approach would make them better citizen advocates, as such would be in their own financial interest.
