Include bias against gender to federal hate crime legislation

The continued violence against women is a serious problem, emphasized by the shooting deaths at a Planned Parenthood clinic in Colorado Springs, CO on November 27th, 2015. It’s time to include bias against gender to the federal hate crime legislation.

The war on women cannot be allowed to turn into an all-out violent assault that leaves women and those who seek to help women as casualties on this battlefield for equality.

Add you name to to stand for all women now.

Why is this important?

A hate crime is a criminal offense against a person or property motivated by an offender’s bias against a race, religion, disability, ethnic origin or sexual orientation.Let’s give communities the resources they need to properly investigate and prosecute hate crimes. Most importantly, let’s give them the resources to prevent these crimes in the first place.
