Why is this important?

Idaho cannot afford to wait another year to reverse the severe deterioration of its educational and human services infrastructure. This initiative may provide our legislators with the incentive to address this crisis in the 2012 session! The petition needs 47,432 signatures before April 30, 2012.

Once we permit the mass termination of personnel and other degradation of our institutions, we impose a loss of educational opportunity upon a generation of our children and we plunge our institutions into an abyss from which they will not emerge for many years.

Stop Unequal Taxation in Idaho, LLC, now announces the launching of a drive to form an Idaho Citizens Coalition to promote a Ballot Initiative for the November 2012 election. This Ballot Initiative will:

-Eliminate inappropriate and unjustifiable exemptions from the Sales Tax
-Reduce the Sales Tax rate from 6% to 5%
-Produce a net revenue increase of approximately $371 Million
