Let's insure against the possible damage guns can and do. Renewing registrations yearly and carrying insurance against possible harm is no more than car owners must do, so why shouldn't gun owners shoulder the same responsibilities?
Why is this important?
If car owners must carry insurance, why not gun owners who can do more harm with a gun than most do with a car. Also, car registration must be renewed each year with a fee, so should gun owners registration.
