Why is this important?
Leaked documents reveal that Energy Transfer Partners — the company behind the Dakota Access Pipeline — hired the private security firm TigerSwan to spy on activists and organizations working to stop dangerous pipelines.
Food & Water Watch even found an infiltrator posing as a volunteer in our Chicago office, spying and collecting internal details about our organizing strategy.
Now we know that Energy Transfer Partners used information improperly gathered by TigerSwan in North Dakota to convince state law enforcement officials to target water protectors, but we won't let oil and gas industry scare tactics stop us. In fact, we're going after them for violating our constitutional right to privacy.
SIGN THE PETITION to demand Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan investigate TigerSwan's illegal spying in Chicago.
