Investigate, and open a public dialog on citizen and consumer privacy rights under the US Constitution and Federal Law as related to both Government and Private collection, storage and use of email and other data on the Internet as well as cell phone, text messages and other electronic communications.
Why is this important?
There is growing concern that our emails, internet activity and cell phone calls are available for monitoring by both private phone companies and data aggregators and government agencies. The development of new communications technologies has caught our society unaware as private, business and government sectors scramble to determine what limitations there are, how our rights to privacy affect what is permissible.
