Investigate & Prosecute Bush Officials for War Crimes
We, the American people of these United States, demand that a Special Prosecutor be appointed by U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder to investigate former President George W. Bush, Vice President Richard B. Cheney, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld, and Attorney General Alberto Gonzales for high crimes and misdemeanors such as torture, falsifying and distorting facts to justify war against the Iraqi people, outing a covert CIA operative, Valerie Plame-Wilson, and many other crimes, and to have the case prosecuted accordingly under the fullest extent of the law, both domestically and internationally.
Why is this important?
For eight years, senior officials within the George W. Bush administration had knowingly and wilfully commmitted crimes against humanity. They have violated the U.S. Constitution and the Geneva Convention Accords by lying the U.S. government into war with Iraq, allowed torture to occur under their watch, illegally spied on American citizens' telecommunications such as e-mails and cell phone calls without a warrant as an excuse for "national security policy", and commited treason by revealing the identity of a covert CIA operative, Valerie Plame-Wilson, as a means of political retaliation.
Today, these felons are walking free and doing book tours and speaking at lavish, high-paying events when they should be arrested, investigated, given a fair trial and prosecuted for their crimes against humanity. These Bush administration officials have snickered at the face of justice and have damaged the reputation and influence of this once-great nation. Something must be done to preserve the "rule of law"!
