Iowans demand clean water now!
We demand Iowa's Department of Natural Resources (DNR) immediately enforce the Clean Water Act of 1972 by issuing permits to Confined Animal Feeding Operations (CAFOs). Iowa's Environmental Protection Commission, which advises the DNR, has been a do-nothing, know-nothing commission.
Since 1996, Iowa has received $3.3 billion to clean up our mess and under Gov. Branstad's "leadership" Iowa's unchecked farm-runoff has increasingly polluted our streams and rivers.
We demand action, enforcement of the Clean Water Act, and accountability at all levels now!

Why is this important?
Iowans like my daughter and my grandchildren are exposed to cancer-causing runoff water that is dangerous to our health and adversely impacts future generations.
If you drink water in Iowa, sign this petition now to call on Gov. Branstad and the Department of Natural Resources to clean up their act and enforce the law.
