To: Donald Trump and those who are ignoring medical advice
It’s way too early to go back to work, it will cost too may many lives !
Mr. President, we all want to help our struggling economy, but not with a price tag of countless people becoming very sick and many dying. Doctors, Dentists, NPs, PAs, and nurses know this virus is spread person to person and social distancing works, but it takes time, often 3 weeks or more. Don’t ignore your own medical experts, doctors, dentists, nurses and allied health professionals all over the country! Your cure for the economy is far worse than continuing your plan to “Stop the Spread” lead by the CDC.
Mr President, this won’t fix the economy because people are afraid to go out and stop social distancing. They know it may cost them their lives ! Stay the course President Trump and please don’t call for people to go back to work !
Why is this important?
Because I am a pediatrician and take care of some of our most vulnerable members of society, and because I have a genetic disease that puts me at high risk . Furthermore, I am a department Chairman at a major hospital and I see the illness and death first hand .
