We demand sensible legislation that begins to address the overwhelming frequency of lethal gun violence in the United States. Tightening loopholes, requiring universal background checks, focusing law enforcement efforts on illegal gun running- there are many things that can be done to reduce the ready availability of guns to criminals, spousal abusers and others with a history of violence.
Why is this important?
Enough is enough. We will not start to see reductions in levels of gun violence until Congress begins to truly lead on this subject and stands up to the overly influential "gun lobby". No more.
