Elected representatives and those running for public office: Remove your name from Grover Norquist's "Pledge to America." If you haven't already signed the pledge, don't do it. Members of any legislative body shouldn't be bound by taxpayer "protection" pledges, and such vows need to be broken in order to achieve broad-based tax reform.
Why is this important?
We've recently heard from folks in South Carolina who want all candidates for Congress in the state to refuse to sign the Grover Norquist no-tax pledge. All but a handful of Republicans in Congress have signed the pledge the pledge, making it impossible to get anything done and driving us towards a fiscal cliff.
