Just The Facts! Please!
Empower the FCC to demand that news be news, and not propaganda. Charge the FCC to actually rule the airwaves and distinguish propaganda from news. Make it a law that statements made as facts be fact-checked and referenced by a minimum of two independent sources.
We don't want to limit free speech. we just want opinion labeled as such. We want facts labeled as such. If a news organization is reporting what someone says, they have an obligation to state if there is any evidence of fact to the statement.

Why is this important?
Getting honest news, without political bias. We have an agency to monitor the media. It is entitled the Federal Communication Commission. Let's give them the power and the obligation to insist that anything labeled as news be just that. News. Not opinion, not lies, and not speculation. In order to empower a populace that populace must have the facts.
