JUSTICE FOR JAMES BAKER AND THE FOUR OTHERS
We respectfully ask the court to consider the seriousness of the allegations against Roberto Pando III when setting bond conditions.
According to the allegations, Roberto Pando III was intoxicated, pursued a vehicle occupied by James Baker and others, displayed a firearm, and fired shots at the vehicle. The pursuit allegedly caused the vehicle to leave the roadway near Loop 250 and Fairgrounds Road, become airborne, and crash into a wall. As a result, James Baker died and four others suffered critical injuries.
Given the severity of the allegations, the loss of life, the injuries to multiple victims, and the potential danger to the community, we respectfully request that the court deny bond or set a very high bond with the strictest conditions allowed by law.
We also ask that prosecutors pursue all charges supported by the evidence and permitted under Texas law. This petition is submitted in support of public safety, accountability, and justice for James Baker, the injured victims, their families, and the Midland community.
Why is this important?
This petition is important because a life was lost and four others were critically injured. By signing, you are supporting justice for the victims, accountability for those responsible, and the safety of our Midland community.
