Stop separating families. We need to change the face of immigration for those trying to do the right thing by coming out of the shadows for petitioning for a family based permanent residence.
Why is this important?
This affects our U.S. born spouses and their children by separating families who have tried to do the right thing when applying for family based residency. My husband was denied his permanent residence and a ten year bar placed because he had been here more than once and over one year. We have now been separated and are having to make the decision to move our children to Mexico in order to remain a family unit.
